Hi, my name is Bill and I am a plain old pastor. What is a plain old pastor? It is a person who has been called to the ministry and is serving as the shepherd, leader, lover of a local church. A plain old pastor is not a superstar. A plain old pastor is not a CEO. A plain old pastor's greatest joy is seeing the people God has given the pastor to serve, grow and mature in Christ.
I have been thinking quite a bit lately about my life's journey and the fact that I am a plain old pastor. I believe in our churches there is not much esteem for plain old pastoring and for plain old pastors. However I have grown to realize that I am not working for the esteem of people or even for the esteem of a church. I am working to finish well and hear God say well done good and faithful servant.
